Getting There

Your journey to the last untouched paradise

Getting There

Reaching South Andros requires planning, but the journey is part of what keeps the island authentic and uncrowded.

By Air

The most common route is flying into Nassau (Lynden Pindling International Airport) and taking a domestic flight to Congo Town Airport (TZN) on South Andros.

Bahamasair

Operates scheduled flights from Nassau to Congo Town. Flight time is approximately 35 minutes. Flights run several times per week, but schedules can change seasonally.

Charter Flights

Private charter services offer more flexibility and can be arranged from Nassau, Fort Lauderdale, or other Bahamas islands. Many fishing lodges arrange charter flights for their guests.

Important Notes

  • Book inter-island flights as early as possible
  • Reconfirm flights 48-72 hours before departure
  • Pack essentials in carry-on in case of baggage delays
  • Weight limits are strict on small aircraft

By Ferry

Mail boat service runs from Nassau to South Andros, but schedules are irregular and crossings can be long (6-8 hours). This option is best for budget travelers or those seeking adventure, but requires flexibility and patience. Check current schedules through the Bahamas Ferry Services or your accommodation.
